It Could Happen: A Poem

It Could Happen

Three-legged monsters
Sick, rabid bears
Wart covered roses
Growing under the stairs.

Silky black mushrooms
Silver-backed toads
Monkeys with four eyes
One dimensional roads.

Quarters with three heads
Pennies with none
A giant, slick serpent
Will not be outdone.

The children seem restless
Dreamcatchers are trappin’
All I can say is:
Yes.  It could happen!

A quick shout out to my teenage self for having this ready for me… now, get ready for the slam:
